The 2020 Summer Reading program is now finished, thanks for joining us!
- Registration for children preschool through 8th grade begins June 26th, reading may begin as soon as registered. The program ends on August 1st.
- To register for the Summer Reading Program, please call the library to arrange pick up of bags and handouts.
- Books must be checked out from the library or downloaded from the library website.

All participants who read at least 420 minutes and turn in their book log before August 1st will receive a participation prize! The top readers will receive additional prizes, to be considered for prizes, book logs must be submitted by 3:30 PM on Saturday, August 1st.
The Sparta Public Library offers a summer reading program to encourage children to keep reading even after school is out of session and to avoid the summer slump.

2018 Summer Reading Program
“Reading Takes You Everywhere”
- Registration for children pre-school through 8th grade begins May 25th at the library.
- Programs will be held the last 4 Fridays in June at 11:00 am to noon in the library’s meeting room.

Note: All preschoolers need to be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older.
