Library Policies

Mission Statement

The Sparta Public Library Board of Trustees believes that it is the duty of the Sparta Public Library to reach out to all the citizens and the various age groups of the community.  We wish to maintain and continue our current programs of providing popular, classic fiction, reference as well as research materials for our patrons.  We want to extend our services to some segments of our community which have heretofore not benefited from the full extent of the library’s resources.  We wish to move our library into the mainstream of the new electronic resources and technology being developed at the state and regional levels for library services.
