In order not to disturb fellow library users and to protect users’ confidentiality, the Sparta Public Library staff and board of trustees ask that cell phones and beepers be turned off or put in silent mode when using the library. If you need to use your cell phone, we ask that you move to the library’s outer foyer.
Texting is allowed within the library as long as the user’s phone is not disruptive to others.
Habitual abuse of the cell phone policy will result in termination of library privileges including checking out of items, interlibrary library loan privileges, and computer use being suspended for an amount of time determined by the library’s director and board of trustees.
